"While still at school in Gotham City, Lonnie Machin became infuriated at all the injustice in the world. He determined to give a voice to the poroblems of the "common man" by adopting the secret identity of Anarky. Thwarted by Batman, Lonnie was incarcerated in a correction center. He used his time there to hone his fighting skills and study widely before escaping to continue with his mission.

Anarky is convinced mankind is ruled by a small but evil elite, who hypnotize or force the masses to obey them. When Gotham was destroyed in an earthquake, and his parents disappeared, Anarky decided to take his fight to the heart of the vipers' nest. He relocated to Washington, D.C., establishing his secret base inside the famous Washington Monument. His genius level I.Q. and technical mastery make him a constant threat to criminal minds everywhere."
